Cannabidiol as active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is a sythetic version of the natural compound cannabidiol (CBD) found in the cannabis plant. Cannabidiol API is designed to mimic the chemical structure and properties of natural extract CBD. Cannabidiol API is used as anti-inflammatory and pain relief. Cannabidiol API is used to treat anxiety and depression, sleep problems and also skin conditions. Cannabidiol is used to treat seizures in people with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, Dravet syndrome, or tuberous sclerosis complex. Cannabidiol is available as oil, capsules, cream and ointment, spray and for vaporizers.
